The music sweeps in like waves every single day, but no one notices. It comes in padded envelopes, downloads, zip files, and zshare – so much at once, its difficult to listen to all of it. Its not easy to know what’s worth listening to. The write up doesn’t help that much. Unless you know them already. So you get good – really good – at judging a cd by its cover. And you miss some great tunes. People call you up and remind you to listen to this or write about that, because its impossible to remember what’s good among towers of CDs or thousands of itunes tracks.
That’s why I set up this blog. To write about the best music people send me. So I can remember what’s good. And so you don’t have to grapple through hundreds of CDs and thousands of inbox mails to know whats worth playing very loud this friday night. (Or just before bed on Sunday morning.) Life should stay longer this way, unchained from ffwd and the play parade.
